A Special Event – Unveiling Sunday February 24 from 1-3

The Amaranthine Museum is pleased to announce a couple of wonderful events!

1. We recently acquired an original Les Harris painting from Chicago art collector Benjamin Ehrenpreis. Entitled “River Lights”, it was painted in the early 1950’s when Harris was studying with Charles Raine in New York. We are so very pleased to have this piece, which matches in style to a coveted family favorite “Cathedral”.  Mark your calendars and join us Sunday, February 24th from 1-3.

2. Another exciting development comes from our contact with Mr. Ehrenpreis.  His brother Joseph is an accomplished multi-instrumental performer, sound artist and poet. Inspired by Harris’ work, he invited his composer’s network to write unique pieces for his 8-string Brahms Guitar, based on their own inspiration of work within the Amaranthine Museum.

We are exceedingly honored to take part in this collaboration and look forward to hosting a series of concerts with Joseph Ehrenpreis in the Amaranthine Museum in the spring.  Stay tuned for more detailed information!
